lyrics
I am so bad because of you
There ain't nothing that I won't do
I'll buy you clothes and ruby rings
But it takes money to get those things
So I lie and I cheat
I rob and I steal
I try to hate you woman, but I never will
Love won't die, no matter how hard I try
My woman's got an evil eye
I am so weak, I must admit
Got love bad but I can't quit
Bought you a cadillac with all the frills
I bought you that, you want more still
Work all day, work all night
Oh, little baby, you trest me right
Bought you a house high on the hill
I bought you that, you want more still
A wonderful compilation of the Blind Owl 🦉 's genius. A more flattering, sensitive album cover could have been featured and there are hundreds to choose from. This often featured photo is one of the worst for obvious reasons. I keep the back cover in view, which shows a good photo of Alan with nicely-done creative artistry. Nancy McDowell
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
